About CEQAC

The Canadian Education Quality Assessment Council (CEQAC) is a not-for-profit organization that offers its services to public, independent, faith-related, proprietary preschool and adult schools, colleges and universities and collaborates with other local and international organizations to align the accreditation process with the planning process for a collaborative process that helps schools, colleges and universities to engage in continuous quality improvement that focuses on students learning experience fostered by a high-quality learning and healthy ecosystem.

CEQAC Accreditation

Accreditation is a voluntary activity initiated by the institution that requires a rigorous self-evaluation and an independent, objective appraisal of the overall educational quality by peers. Accreditation emphasizes quality assurance and a commitment to continuous quality enhancement. To achieve accreditation by CEQAC, an institution must:

  • Comply with rigorous standards.
  • Develop and implement an Institutional Effectiveness Plan
  • Undergo an annual review of its financial stability, retention and placement rates; and
  • Undergo announced and unannounced site visits.

Why CEQAC Accreditaion is Important?

CEQAC accreditation is an assessment of the quality of educational institutions and programs. CEQAC accreditation provides third-party quality assurance to students, families, government officials, and other stakeholders about the institution or program's education quality.

How the Accreditaion Process Works?
