Phase One

Self-Study

  • The two-day visit by a CEQAC assessment team is to understand the institution’s purpose, programs, and operations based on the CEQAC criteria and detailed institution application submission.
  • If the assessors grant the initial accreditation or candidacy. The institution must address recommendations from the visiting committee report and complete the first full self-study by the end of the third year.
Phase two

Self-Study

  • Institution stakeholders are to be involved in the self-study process based on CEQAC recommendations.
  • Reflection on the institution’s business and management models, purpose and students’ learning outcomes.
  • Assessment of the programs and support initiatives and the impact on student learning according to the CEQAC criteria.
  • Development of an action plan that addresses identified areas for improvement.
  • Visiting committee for validation and enhancement based on CEQAC accreditation criteria and standards, self-study, and findings from the visit.
  • Builds professional cultures to support the institution-wide comprehensive action plan.
Phase three

Follow-Up Process

  • Annual assessment of the action plan progress and refinement of the plan as needed.
  • Completion of the annual progress reports
  • Celebration of success.
