Five questions to answer before you apply for accreditation
A short internal check that saves weeks later: who owns the application, where the evidence lives, and what “ready” means for you.

Most providers complete CEQAC accreditation in two to three months. The ones that move fastest settle a few questions before they apply.
1. Do we meet the minimum requirements?
At least one program of 50 or more instructional hours, designed for learners with high school completion or relevant experience; legal authority to operate; the financial capacity to deliver without disruption; and transparent governance. The two-minute eligibility check covers all of them.
2. Who owns the application?
Name one person who coordinates evidence, deadlines and interviews. Accreditation touches curriculum, instruction, finance and policy, and it stalls when everyone is partly responsible.
3. Where does our evidence live?
Reviewers will look at curriculum and learning objectives, instructor qualifications, assessment methods and outcome data, learner policies, and financial sustainability. Knowing where each of these is kept is half the work.
4. Which programs go under review first?
The application fee includes a charge per program under review. Many providers start with their most established program and add others at renewal.
5. What would we do with a “No”?
The readiness self-assessment asks for an improvement plan for any standard you do not yet meet. Deciding in advance who acts on gaps turns the assessment into progress rather than paperwork.
When you are ready, start your application.
